Since the Choose Love Shop opened… 

We’ve seen lots of your lovely faces come through our doors and shop online. And, lots of wonderful people like you have bought essential supplies and life-changing services from our shop. Your generosity has been incredible!  

Thanks to your donations, in the last few weeks we’ve raised thousands of pounds for refugees and displaced people across the globe. During the week of Black Friday, we reached our $100,000 match fund target, which meant we received an extra $100,000 from a generous donor. This will be used to fund our partners working on the ground across the world this winter. 

So, we wanted to tell you what your generosity has achieved so far! 

Here are some of the amazing things that our fantastic partners have been able to do in just the last few weeks…

• Baobab Experience, Italy

In Italy, our incredible partner, Baobab Experience, provides vital assistance to asylum seekers who have just arrived in the country. In Rome, they set up a welcome point for refugees and displaced people and provided them with essential supplies and mental and physical support.

In the last few weeks, thanks to your donations, we sent £8000 to Baobab Experience for essential supplies including blankets, sleeping bags, warm winter clothing, children coats and washing essentials to help keep refugees and asylum seekers warm.

• SAWA, Lebanon

Our wonderful partner, SAWA, provides much-needed support for Syrian refugees living in Lebanon. They work in camps across the country, running schools for children, who would otherwise struggle to access education. 

During recent weeks, your donations funded £5550 worth of crucial fuel, which will be used to keep SAWA’s schools warm, so that the children can keep learning this winter!

• Bloody Good Period, UK

In the UK, our amazing partner Bloody Good Period fights for the rights of all people who menstruate, this includes refugees and asylum seekers for whom period products often become unaffordable ‘luxuries’. As part of their work, the Bloody Good Period team distributes period products to refugees and asylum seekers who desperately need them. 

Thanks to your donations, in the last couple of weeks, we’ve been able to give £5000 to Bloody Good Period to distribute women’s supplies and period products to displaced people across the UK!

• Lighthouse Relief, Greece

In Greece, when asylum seekers receive their refugee status, they often lose access to any kind of formal support. This leaves thousands of vulnerable people in insecure and often dangerous situations without basic access to necessities. Our incredible partner, Lighthouse Relief, offers support on the ground for these individuals, supplying them with hot food and other essential items, and connecting them with services that will help them get back on their feet. 

In the last few weeks, your donations funded Lighthouse Relief with £1800, to spend on the distribution of vital food packs for vulnerable refugees in Athens over the winter.
