Frequently asked questions
How do I stop or change my regular donation?
Please get in touch with us at email@example.com and let us know if you’d like to cancel your recurring donation or amend it in any way. It’s helpful if you do this before cancelling or amending via your bank. Please don’t send us any credit card details by email.
Can I donate my clothes / items to you for refugees?
Thank you so much for thinking of us and for your interest in donating much-needed material aid. Unfortunately, we do not collect physical donations in the UK ourselves, as we are a small team with no UK warehouse.
I’m a brand and want to help - how can I help?
If your company or small business is looking for ways to help by donating brand new physical goods (ie last season’s merch, baby supplies, furniture, food, etc), please drop us an email with your ideas, quantity, and photos (if relevant). If you want to make a monetary donation but need tax + bank information, please send us an email as well.
Can I volunteer with you?
At the moment, the best way you can help is by fundraising for us as this is vital in allowing us to continue the work that we do. We would also be very grateful if you could keep an eye on our social media channels and share any fundraising appeals and petitions that we post.
We are not currently looking for volunteers in the UK in 2022 but you can stay posted for ways to help by visiting chooselove.org and clicking “Get Involved”.
If in the future, you would like to volunteer in Europe, we work in collaboration with the charity Indigo Volunteers to connect volunteers with grassroots projects responding to the refugee crisis across Europe. Indigo Volunteers will match your skills, requirements and availability to projects in need of help. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Are you accepting internships?
We are accepting applications for interns for summer 2022. Please drop us an email at email@example.com with your program details and availability. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee placements. You must be over 18 years of age and currently enrolled in a course.
Are you hiring right now?
We are not currently hiring. Please keep an eye out in the future for any job postings on our social media, and on our jobs page.
I ordered an ecard and it didn’t arrive.
Ask your recipient to check their spam folder, as they sometimes get held up there. Alternatively, you can send your recipient the gift card directly by using the link at the bottom of your confirmation email.
I need to send my ecard to a different email address.
Please contact us with the details of your order and what needs to be changed.
How does Gift Aid work?
Donating through Gift Aid allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It will not cost you any extra.
Your donations will qualify as long as they’re not more than 4 times what you have paid in tax in that tax year (6 April to 5 April). For more information see: https://www.gov.uk/donating-to-charity/gift-aid
Where does your merchandise come from?
We use organic cotton in all our merchandise. This leads to a reduction in soil erosion, less acidification of land and water, and has less impact on global warming. All of our merchandise is 100% GOTs, Oeko Tex, and PETA vegan certified, and we are proudly plastic-free in our operations of merchandise production and fulfillment. We distribute directly from the UK.
For all other merchandise-related questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or check our merchandise FAQ page here.
