The world has been watching Iran as anti-Regime protests have intensified following the death of Jina (Mahsa) Amini. Mahsa was a 22-year-old Kurdish-Iranian woman on a family trip. She tragically died in the custody of Iran’s morality police, a wing of police that enforces mandatory hijab on Iranian women.
Recently a new grim milestone was reached – there are now 100 million people around the world who are forcibly displaced. In spite of this growing crisis, there is still misinformation and a lack of understanding about what it means to lose your home and face an uncertain future.
This summer marks the seventh year of Choose Love. We can’t believe how much has happened in that time. The world has gone through a lot, but it’s also important to take time and reflect on what can be achieved when every day people come together – extraordinary can things happen.
